Catherine Walker TEP

Head of the Private Client Department and Executive Head of the Residential and Commercial Property Department. Catherine is a Chartered Legal Executive. Catherine has a well established reputation with her clients and peers following over 20 years’ experience in practising private client law. Catherine is a full Member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the sub-Mental Capacity Special Interest Group within STEP. She is also a fully accredited Member of Association of Lifetime Lawyers and sits on the Nottinghamshire Law Society Private Client Committee.

Catherine can assist in all areas of private client law including Wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney and applications to the Court of Protection.


Jayne Sullivan

Jayne is Head of Litigation and head of the Child Care Department. Jayne grew up in the Mansfield area, she attended school locally and then moved on to take her degree and diploma at Nottingham Trent University. Qualifying as a Solicitor in 1999. Jayne specialises in both family and civil litigation, including complicated children proceedings, and is also on the Children Panel. Jayne conducts the majority of her own advocacy arising from her case, which provides continuity and an all-round service. Jayne is a member of Resolution and has additional specialist accreditation in the area of Complex Financial matters arising from divorce and the breakdown of relationships and also Domestic Abuse.

Jayne also oversees our Civil Litigation department. Jayne became a Partner in 2018.


Elizabeth Isola

Elizabeth joined the firm in 2018 as a Solicitor in the Litigation department specialising in Civil Litigation, and Employment and Family Law. Elizabeth has a double diploma in French and English Law as well as a Masters in European Business Law. Having worked for an international firm in Paris, ranking in the top 5 Legal 500 in International Arbitration, she has moved back to Nottingham to be closer to family. She has a wide range of knowledge in domestic and international litigation and we are delighted that she is now a much valued member of our team.

Elizabeth is also fluent in French and Yoruba.

In her spare time she enjoys travelling and socialising with family and friends.


Samantha Sanders

Samantha is a partner and head of the family department and has over 25 years’ experience in private family matters. She advises and represents her clients in all areas of family law including divorce, financial proceedings and private children applications.

Her vast experience and passion in this legal area enables her to provide a sensitive and understanding approach for all her clients and we are excited to have her be part of our firm.

Outside of work Samantha enjoys walking in the Derbyshire Dales, quality time with her family and practicing yoga and pilates.


Lauren Griffiths

Lauren initially joined the firm in 2002 and after gaining invaluable experience in practice went on to study and qualify as a Legal Executive in 2012 and then as a Solicitor in 2016.

Lauren is a Partner in our private client department and has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Will drafting, obtaining Probate, estate administration, drafting and advising on Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and estate and inheritance tax planning.  Lauren is experienced in assisting clients with a broad range of legal issues and takes a friendly, proactive approach. Lauren is a fully accredited Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers.

In her spare time Lauren enjoys holidays and spending time with her family, including her two young children.



Nevil Edmund Croston

Solicitor and former head of the firms civil litigation department. With more than 40 years litigation experience, Nevil offers practical and professional advice on employment law, personal injury, partnership and company formations and dissolution, drafting of commercial contracts and grants and contentious probate. Nevil is a member of the association of personal injury lawyers and an accredited civil mediator. Nevil is married with two adult children. Outside of work Nevil enjoys all outdoor pursuits including mountaineering, cycling, walking and taking skiing holidays.


Imran Uddin

Imran is an accomplished and experienced Commercial Property Solicitor with over 20 years of experience in private practice. After graduating from one of the best law schools in the country, he has worked in Manchester, the Midlands and for many years as senior partner of a practice in London before relocating to the midlands. With experience of all types of property and commercial transactions, he is well placed to advise on both strategy and implementation of any commercial transaction. He is happy to act on a wide variety of matters including sales, purchases or leases of commercial property, advising on property rights including overage provisions as well as business sale and purchases. He is also able to act on all types of property development projects. He has excellent client relationships and is outcome focussed. With his invaluable experience, we are delighted that he is leading our commercial department.



Rebecca Thompson

We are pleased that Rebecca has chosen to join us in our residential property department. She has successfully completed her LLB Law Degree at the University of Derby and has successfully completed her LPC with Masters at Nottingham Trent University. We are very pleased that she has now qualified as a Solicitor. She is a very welcome edition to our thriving team.

In her spare time, she enjoys landscape photography and going for hikes with her family and dog.



Grace Webster

Grace has joined us as a paralegal in the Private Client department predominantly focusing on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorneys. She graduated in 2020 from Manchester Law School after studying her LLB Law degree. During her studies, she undertook work experience at Bryan and Armstrong in her second year summer holidays, shadowing a varied amount of departments. She is now studying for her Masters in Law, reading the modules international human rights, medical law and ethics, international criminal law and Techno-ethics in law.

In her spare time, Grace enjoys walking, travelling and concerts.



Janet Godfrey

Janet originally joined the firm in 2007 as a Conveyancer having spent the previous eighteen years working in Residential Conveyancing. She specialises in the buying and selling of properties particularly in the local area where she has considerable knowledge.

Her spare time is spent walking in the countryside with her faithful dog.


Helen Foster

We are extremely pleased to welcome Helen and her team to join forces with our existing Residential Conveyancing Department. Helen has worked as a Residential Fee Earner for some 30 years and has a wealth of local knowledge and experience. She is highly regarded by both clients and agents.

Outside of work Helen enjoys spending time with her Partner, Family and Friends and especially her grandson Billy.



Becky Collier-Anstey

Becky joined the firm in 2005 and has since become an Affiliate of the Institute of Legal Executives. Becky specialises in Family Law and has a particular interest in children act proceedings, divorce and financial matters; although she assists in all areas of family work. Becky lives locally and enjoys socialising with family and friends in her spare time.



Matthew McAllister

Matthew joined the firm in 2023 as a Paralegal, having spent a year after graduating from Nottingham Trent University in the insurance industry. He is about to start his specialised training in order to become fully qualified working within the Family and Litigation sector.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing badminton and football, as well as going to music festivals.


Charlotte Harrison

Charlotte has recently joined the firm as a paralegal and is a member of the private client department. Her main focus is on Wills and Lasting Power of Attorneys. Charlotte has successfully completed her studies her studies in LLB Law at Nottingham Trent University and graduated in 2023. She has completed work experience in the legal sector prior, shadowing solicitors and barristers, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She will be undertaking further studies to become a qualified solicitor.

In her spare time she enjoys travelling, concerts, walking in the Peak District and has enjoyed skiing.
